Education
I graduated from the College of William & Mary in 2016, with a major in Linguistics and a minor in English. My GPA was 3.38. While at college I also took three years of Japanese, up until the 302 level. In high school at Trinity School at Meadow View I took four years of Latin and received Maxima Cum Laude on the National Latin Exam.
Experience
I tutored both Latin and Japanese for several years of high school before going on to study Japanese up to 302 level in college. I received Maxima Cum Laude on the National Latin Exam in my sophomore year of high school and have continued to study the language recreationally. I studied Linguistics in college because I am fascinated by languages and love to help others understand how they work! I also have studied language teaching methods academically, with a course in Teaching English Abroad in college. I take great joy in helping others gain a facility with language, and have worked with a variety of age ranges. In high school I helped adults practice ESL, helped young children learn Japanese, and tutored other middle and high school students in Latin. I was unable to find as many opportunities to teach and tutor in college, so I am hoping to get back to that this year. My Verbal score on the SAT was 680 and Writing was 800.

Hobbies
I love reading in my free time, preferably about history or art. One of my current jobs is as a professional illustrator so I love incorporating visual elements into my tutoring. If I'm not reading you will probably find me dancing, playing instruments, or singing since I also have a passion for music!
