BA and MA in History from Virginia Tech Additional course work at George Mason, Mary Washington, University of Hawaii, UVa, and William and Mary. Most of my course work has been in History and Education. I'm especially interested in a field known a Material Culture- What did people use in their daily lives? What do those things tell us about that society? I'm especially interested in food and textiles. Yes, I am a history geek!

I have had over thirty years of teaching experience at a variety of levels including middle school, high school, and college. That experience has given me a wide range of techniques to work with students' different needs. I have tutored in formal tutoring programs and independently for individual students.
