Education
Working on a B.A. in English at Virginia Commonwealth University, I will graduate in May 2012. My minors are American Studies and Womens Studies. I am mostly geared towards older students, but I have Americorps training so I would be able to work with younger children who need reading help as well.
Experience
I was an America Reads tutor during my senior year, and am now an administrative assistant with the program. I got a 5 on the AP English test in high school and have gotten an A in every college English class, and I write for VCUs magazine. I am very, very good at helping people structure and edit essays, and I can also work with students who struggle with reading, reading comprehension, or history.
