I'm a tutor who is currently based in Washington, DC, where I enjoy exploring the outdoors when I'm not working with students in the classroom. I have an extensive educational background and hold three science-related degrees. I have a bachelor's in behavioral biology, a PhD in biochemistry/molecular biology, as well as an MD. In medical school I received many awards for my scholastic accomplishments as well as publications in journals. More importantly, I have over ten years of experience tutoring and mentoring students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. I'm able to help students with many subjects including math, science, and preparing for the MCAT. I believe that each student I work with is a unique individual and therefore requires a unique teaching style. That's why I strive to provide each of my students with an individualized lesson plan targeted to focus on their specific needs. I love the process of tutoring. There's nothing quite like the feeling I get when I finally help a student reach that breakthrough moment in an area that they've been struggling with.
