Education

I attended St. Christopher's School in Richmond, VA where I graduated in 2007 as the valedictorian of my class. I then went on to earn my Bachelor's of Arts in English from Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating cum laude in 2012.

Experience

I have been doing private tutoring in algebra, geometry and calculus on and off since I was in high school. I was a National Merit Scholar, and scored 1580/1600 and 2340/2400 on the SAT, as well as 700 - 800 on numerous other SAT subject tests. I was also an AP World Scholar, earning either 4 or 5 on at least 8 AP tests.

Hobbies

I spend the majority of my free time practicing taiji quan, a Chinese martial art sometimes spelled tai chi chuan. I also practice a form of seated meditation that derives from the Indian Vedic tradition. I am an avid fan of martial arts cinema and medieval European literature. Occasionally I write poetry and short essays which I publish through various venues online.
