Education
I graduated in 2015 with First Class Honors from University College London in the United Kingdom. I did my degree in Russian Studies and Serbian/Croatian at UCL's School of Slavonic and East European Studies. My course track was Literature and Culture. While in high school, I took a full load of AP courses, with the exception of Russian, which I did as an IB course. While in high school, I also obtained a 90 Clock Hour Certificate in Early Childhood Education.
Experience
I have experience teaching and working with children and adults in various settings. While living in Serbia, I gave private English lessons as well as worked at a language school. I was also an assistant and after school activities instructor at the International School of Belgrade Lower School. I have extensive childcare experience and have worked in a pre-school and as a teaching aide at a religious school for third and fourth grade classes. In my capacity as an editor and translator, I have worked with adults and teenagers on composing project proposals for an NGO serving high school students in the Balkans, as well as coached and assisted writers for other civil society organizations. I scored highly on my SATs and AP and IB tests, and was admitted to Columbia University right out of high school (2008), though because of other considerations in my life I chose to delay attending university until later, chosing University College London. From 2008 to 2011 I lived in Belgrade, Serbia, where I learned the language and was able to have experiences that have shaped me as a person in invaluable ways.

Hobbies
In my spare time, I enjoy reading and watching movies (foreign and domestic), practicing yoga, playing with animals and following fashion. I also train and compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which I have been doing since 2010. I am very interested in martial arts, fitness and nutrition, but also enjoy hanging out and eating junk food when the time is right!
