Education
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Secondary Education from James Madison University in 2007. I completed several practicums in middle schools and high schools teaching English literature, composition, and writing skills to students at all levels. I received my Masters of Education degree in Higher Education Administration from the College of William and Mary in 2011 and have experience working in several colleges and universities in the Virginia and D.C. area.
Experience
My education and experience is in Secondary and Higher Education - I have mentored and tutored college students for several years, as well as advised students related to career and leadership development. I have experience teaching middle and high school students in English as well. My education has included student development theory and counseling techniques, which translates into being able to provide the best personalized and unique tutoring support for each of my students. I am also skilled at defining learning objectives and using individual assessments to ensure my students are gaining the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to be successful.
