I am a traveled tutor who is passionate about the arts. I'm here to help students with their reading, writing, literature, American history, studio art, English, social studies, and a variety of other subjects. I received my degree in English Literature and Studio Art at the University of Virginia, where I graduated with honors. I plan to continue with my education at the Art Institute of Chicago where I will pursue my master's as a student in the Film, Video, New Media, and Animation department. My long term goal is to become a university professor. I have worked with students through programs at the University of Virginia, and I look forward to gaining more experience as a tutor! I have traveled around the world to places like England, France, Spain, Germany, Honduras, and South Africa. I also served as an artist in residence in Argentina. I incorporate a lot of what I have learned throughout my travels into my tutoring style. As a tutor I start with the basics, and then help my students work their way up to more complex concepts. I want to inspire my students to value education. In my free time I enjoy making films, looking at art, cooking, hiking, and rock climbing.
