Growing up as the child of a teacher, I've come to find that wanting to teach is in my blood. While still gaining my primary education, I began assisting other students and have continued along this path. My style when it comes to tutoring involves discovering how a student learns best and assisting them in achieving their goals. There is plenty of stress put on students to do well and, while I want them to succeed, I also aim to soothe the pressure. Becoming overly stressed can often lead to negative results in school. I want students to be comfortable during our tutoring sessions and communicate with me every step of the way. ESL is my primary focus. I thoroughly enjoy seeing students build confidence with language skills and transitioning. I am also available for SAT prep, ACT prep, college essay assistance, and literature. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English with a certification in secondary teaching from Eastern Connecticut State University. I furthered my education by receiving a Master of Arts in Linguistics with a certification in TESL from George Mason University. When I am not in the classroom, I can be found reading a good book, hiking local trails, taking biking adventures, and going for a swim.
