Experience
I am a graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Masters in Teaching. I am currently a 3rd grade teacher and have experience with grades pre-k through 6th. I recently worked for the public schools in third grade assisting with lessons and support of struggling students. I love to work with children especially in reading and math! For the younger ages we would work on letter recognition and letter sounds. For the older students accuracy while reading and fluency. I know how to customize word sorts for students and how to help them get on reading level for their grade. I meet in the local library and am very motivated and enthusiastic about helping children and encouraging them until they know that they can do it.
