I am an experienced tutor available to work with students in Spanish and History. My specialties include, but are not limited to, US History, European History, Latin American History, Asian History, and the Ancient World and Late Antiquity. I am also familiar with AP US and European History course materials and with International Baccalaureate courses such as History SL and HL, Geography SL and HL, and World Religions SL.As for my academic background, I have recently obtained a bachelor's degree in History with a minor in Spanish from Grove City College. Of the periods mentioned above, the Ancient World and Late Antiquity were of particular focus during my studies, but the pursuit of a well-rounded historical perspective meant that all of my tutoring specialties were studied at length.I first began tutoring in high school, where I worked with entry-level Spanish students on vocabulary and grammar. My goal was to build comprehension and then work towards competent usage. Now, as a recent graduate and present tutor, I am able to integrate my own experiences with the needs of my students. Having taken AP and IB courses, I can advise students on how best to prepare for success in those classes.In my spare time I like to exercise, go to the beach, read, and - no surprise here - study up on History and Spanish.
