It is critical to meet individual learning style needs in an environment where students feel completely comfortable. For example, I often play background music, or I offer different organization methods during my tutoring sessions. I take this responsibility to foster success seriously. The most important aspect of success in a tutoring session is that students' individual learning needs be understood, and study preferences be incorporated into the lesson plan. I find enjoyment in incorporating my academic passions with my hobbies, and I believe all students can too. I am an avid film watcher, a reader, and I enjoy writing poetry and playing music on my guitar. I recently graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Virginia Commonwealth University. This fall I will begin graduate school at Virginia Commonwealth University, where I will also work as a teaching assistant for the department of sociology. While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I gained vast experience working on assignments and projects with my peers. I thoroughly enjoy sharing my interest and experience in AP testing and SAT testing with high school and college students. Government, literature, history, and writing are my favorite subjects, and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others.
