I attended college at Howard University and then attended law school at American University. I am now a very passionate tutor of the German language. I was a high school German teacher for over 12 years. My teaching experience in the classroom led to many success stories, and I helped a group of AP students earn great scores on their national exams. This group also participated in academic competitions very successfully. While teaching, I often led student trips to Europe, and we spent a lot of time in Germany. I also created a US/German exchange student program for my school. While heading the program, I took many trips to Germany with my students to learn the culture and perfect my language skills. I then spent a year working for an educational program led by the US Department of Defense. During this year, I lived in a small German village and taught the English language to young locals. Next, I attended law school, and my German language skills then helped me land a great position working for the US Department of Justice. There, I worked to fight transnational crime taking place between Germans and United States citizens and spent a lot of time overseas.While I no longer teach in the classroom, I enjoy tutoring students in the German language and think my knowledge of both the language and culture makes me a great tutor. I strive to keep my students engaged during our sessions, and I want them to be motivated to learn a language that can help them communicate with people all over the world. I can tutor anyone from beginner to advanced German language students.
