I am a tutor with a passion for teaching my native language-Spanish. I am well versed in the English language as well, and I feel that I am able to help non-Spanish speaking students with any issues they may encounter along the way. When I work with my students, I work to make sure they are experiencing an interactive learning environment where they can immerse themselves in the Spanish language. I have worked as a teacher in bilingual schools, including working with students in grades Pre-K to high school level, where I have taught Reading, Science in English lessons for pre-K, Phonics, Grammar, Spelling, and Elementary ESL. In addition, I have worked with students from all walks of life, and I am adept at modifying my teaching methods to best suit those who are learning. I am confident I can work with my students to find a pace that is comfortable for them.I am able to tutor students in the Spanish language, including Spanish 1-4, English, Languages, Art, AP Studio Art: Drawing, and ESL. I graduated from Mariano Galvez University of Guatemala, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in ESL. I also hold a certification in ESL for children. When I am not working, I love to spend time with my little son. I also enjoy cooking, exercising (Zumba, dance, and yoga are my favorites), and creating art, including painting.
