Experience
I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010, with a bachelor's degree in History, and a master's degree in Secondary Education Teaching (with an emphasis in History & Social Studies). I've taught high school students for three years in a number of courses, including Advanced Placement World History and U.S./Local Government. I also spent a year tutoring elementary-through-high-school students in similar subject areas. My teaching interests go beyond my expertise in history and social sciences, and I have a great love for assisting students in writing, reading, and entrance essays for college applications. I'm also skilled at helping students with SAT Subject and Advanced Placement test preparation, specifically in United States History, Government, World Geography, and World History. It's my belief that all students are capable of achieving high levels of success if given a strong foundation and ample, consistent support from educators. In my personal life, I like to hike, run, and coach sports. I'm currently living in Richmond, Virginia.
