Experience

I have been a private tutor for the past 8 years. I have had about 13-15 private tutoring relationships and taught in various classroom settings. I predominately teach all math related subjects and all three sections of the SAT. Before my recent move to Richmond, I worked for a SAT prep school as a curriculum developer. There, I made math examinations for the SSAT book that they have published in April 2013. I wrote 90% of all 8 math sections in the book. If you are not familiar with the SSAT, it is an exam taken by middle school and high school students to get into boarding schools and other private high schools. The general content of the test is arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and basic ratios/fractions. Here are my test scores: SAT I Total Score: 2240/2400 - 99% percentile SAT I Math: 800/800 SAT I Critical Reading: 730/800 SAT I Writing: 710/800 SAT II Math Level II: 800/800 SAT II Chemistry: 780/800 SAT II Spanish: 760/800 I have always had a passion for teaching and truly believe that with the right guidance and hard work, any student can crack the SAT/perform in school. As a recent college grad and young professional, I can relate to students better and bring concepts to life.
