I have a strong fundamental knowledge in the natural sciences and mathematics. I earned my B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Mary Washington in 2011. While studying at Mary Washington I took General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Advanced Polymer Chemistry. I will gladly help tutor in these subjects. I am currently pursuing a doctorate degree and received all A’s in my graduate level courses. Previously, I was a Program Consultant at The Youth Leadership Foundation (YLF) a non-profit organization that is focused on character development and academic enrichment for under-served youth in the metropolitan area. I helped develop and managed YLF’s educational curriculum and increased test scores for students by an average of 30%. I also volunteered and tutored their students every Saturday in English and Math from grades (3-10). Furthermore, in college also I tutored students in General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. Every student I tutored was able to raise their grade by a letter grade. From these experiences, I have realized that every student is different and every student has the potential to succeed. Working step by step and actively showing where they are having problems and correcting their mistakes will lead to the student gaining confidence and excelling in the subject. Additionally, having a fundamental grasp of the basic material of the subject will go a long way. I will make sure that the student has a strong fundamental understanding, which will lead to success and mastery of the subject. I can gladly tutor in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Cellular Biology, Microbiology, and any AP courses. I have also taken the GRE and the DAT for dental school.
