Hobbies

I’ve been teaching high school English for four years, with two in Chesterfield County and two in the city of Richmond. This has afforded me the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and professionals, enabling me to experience and embrace a wide variety of cultures outside of my own background. I have been told that I have a ridiculous amount of patience by my colleagues and administrators alike, and I am known for devoting time to the students everyone else has given up on over time. I believe that any and all students can achieve success, and nothing makes me happier than seeing the look on their faces when they do things that they believed were impossible. I tend to use humor as a tool to reach kids and let them know that I’m just someone with a few degrees who really wants to help them reach their goals and make their dreams a reality. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and my dog, visiting family, taking my six-year old niece on trips to museums, crafting, and continuing to learn daily!
