I've taught for 12 years, and I can draw on my experiences in helping students achieve success as a tutor. I like to build on what students already know and are interested in to provide student centered sessions that are challenging and fun. I help students by encouraging critical thinking and providing information using different teaching methodologies, which allows me to match each individual student in their learning style. I believe that learning is exciting and never-ending, and I want my students to feel the same way. I enjoy tutoring writing, reading, elementary math, essays, grammar, test preparation, ESL, and more. In my spare time, I like to play the guitar, read, and live an active lifestyle.
