I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching Spanish. I have over ten years of experience learning Spanish. My education in the subject comes from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have taken advanced courses in Spanish translation, culture, literature, and language. I graduated with honors from VCU with a bachelor's degree in Spanish. I was also the Vice President of the VCU Chapter of the National Spanish Honor Society. I am comfortable tutoring students in Spanish and Spanish 1-4. I do not have formal classroom teaching experience, but I do have experience tutoring students in a variety of levels of Spanish. I also have experience studying abroad. I spent a semester in the Dominican Republic, which helped me a great deal because I had the opportunity to become immersed in the culture. This helped with my ability to speak Spanish and my understanding of the culture. I am deeply passionate about Spanish culture and language. My dream is to continue to learn more about the language and culture while sharing my passion and knowledge with others. My experience as both a student and a traveler provides me with the necessary qualifications to be an effective Spanish tutor. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, traveling, visiting museums, and exploring new music.
