Experience
As a tutor, I encourage interaction with students as I help them with biology, Earth science, and chemistry; math from elementary up to algebra II; U.S. history; social studies; and government. I always encourage students and ask questions, so they can find the solution on their own. I don't give out answers directly. In addressing various learning styles, I use manipulatives which also makes the learning process fun. I can work with a wide demographic of students, which comes from a range of experiences and the ability to manage my time effectively. My talent helps many clients do well in class and find their potential.I graduated Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in Chemistry. Now I am working towards my teaching license at the University of Richmond. I have worked with many students over the past six years, from kids in second grade up to college. My subject and teaching experience, as well as my course studies, have prepared me to be a resourceful tutor and I can help in the most challenging of subjects. My interests include playing pool, watching Game of Thrones, and spending time with my family, friends, and dog.
