I am a recent graduate of Tufts University where I earned a BA in Religion. Learning has always been a great passion of mine, and it is something I love to inspire in others. I have over 8 years of tutoring and teaching experience, starting in an after-school program at Maggie Walker Governor's School. At the same time, I acted as a teacher aide for at my local religious school, and was later promoted to teacher. I also worked my senior year of high school at the Children's Museum of Richmond, working with kids and helping to organize educational and engaging programming for guests. In my four years at Tufts, I worked at a local community center interacting with neighborhood kids. I helped with homework, assisted on school projects, as well as contributed to planning events and activities. I also spent two summers in Newton, MA working at a summer camp devoted to the arts and sciences where I developed and taught cooking curriculum for kids aged 5-16. I believe greatly in the power of hard work, but only so long as it's paired with an equal amount of fun. I have been fortunate in my life to have countless teachers and friends help me in my studies, and that is something I try to carry on in kind. School is important, as is the knowledge and understanding that comes with it, but can often be stressful. While I am eager to contribute to the greater goal of understanding, I also hope to make school easier, more enjoyable, perhaps even a little fun.

I make my living as a baker, and as such am a great lover of food and cooking. I'm also an avid consumer of books and television, and love to write fiction and poetry in my spare time. I am fascinated by art, and religion, and culture, and always enjoy a rousing discussion, whether it's about Renaissance painting or the latest superhero movie.
